I'd also like to see better doctor-patient follow-up. A phone call would be nice.
THe place is clean and modern, but it just isn't meeting my expectations. I don't see many kids in there. It mostly serves old people.
I really like Dr. Fiore and he is the only doctor that I have experience with. However, they recently "upgraded" to a new computer system and it is HORRIBLE. I have been unable to even leave a message to make an appointment. The phone just rang and rang. When I went to call after hours to speak with a nurse on a Friday night, the main line was eternally busy. BUSY! WTF???If you DO manage to get through, the office staff isn't very good about making sure that you get called back if you want to make an appt or speak with a nurse. You might call at 8 am to make an appointment and finally get a callback at 5:00 p.m.--too late to come in so you have to SUFFER for another day.
Also, the new system apparently "lost" pertinent patient info so when you go in for an appointment, the office staff asks you everything you originally told them: address, soc number, insurance used, birth date. Annoying! Just the kind of stuff you want to deal with when you're sick. THe average wait to see the docs is about 25 minutes. Another annoying thing about this practice is the fact that the whole place shuts down from 1-2 so everyone can take a lunch break together. Geez, hasn;t the office manager ever heard of staggering lunch breaks? Even Wal-Mart does that!
Amazing staff, amazing doctors...all around great experience. Love the people at Wilderness!
